FAQ

disposable-mail.org is a temporary email-providing site designed to protect your privacy. While the service is still relatively new, its usage increases daily. Here, we will answer frequently asked questions so you can use our service soon and as smoothly as possible.

What is anonymous/temporary/disposable/trash mail?

A “temporary email” name talks for itself – it’s an anonymous email address that only exists for a certain amount of time. It does not require registration. On our site disposable-mail.org you get a disposable email address that only exists for 10 minutes.

Why do I need a temporary email address?

A disposable mail is helpful when you want to register on fishy sites; that way, in case of a data breach, you wouldn’t have anything to lose. You may also need it when logging in to a public Wi-Fi that requires registration.

Security is paramount in many cases on the internet. If you doubt whether you should use your usual email, staying anonymous with a 10-minute mail is probably better.

Can I extend the lifetime of the email address if I need more than 10 minutes?

Yes – simply click the “Refresh” button on the time counter.

What is the difference between throwaway mail and the usual email?

Firstly, a disposable email doesn’t require registration, so it’s fast and easy to use. Also, it’s completely free and anonymous. Once the period of mailbox use is over, all the personal details, including your IP address, are deleted. So it’s way safer to use than a usual email in some cases.

When you use temporary mail, your usual email doesn’t get any spam afterward, which is common with sites requiring registration. Also, no hacker can get to your private email if it simply does not exist anymore. Lastly, temp mail is super fast, as there are no delays with message delivery or email generation.

How do I delete a temporary email?

The disposable email will automatically be deleted after 10 minutes or after the extended duration you choose. You don’t need to do anything to delete it.

How do I check the received emails?

disposable-mail.org displays the received emails under the part of a page where the name of your mailbox is presented. You’ll simultaneously see the sender, subject, and text in the letter once you receive the mail you’re waiting for.

Can I send an email when I use temporary mail?

No. We will not implement this feature to avoid people using our service for fraud.
